The Pawnguard 35 is primarily constructed to protect during armed robbery events. Moderate after-hours burglary protection is provided by a thick steel shell and encapsulated steel drawers that resist prying and wedging. But for high-security after-hours burglary protection, we recommend the unit be installed inside an existing safe. The power supply of the unit is AC 110 volt. If the Pawnguard's power supply is cut, fails or is shut off, all the drawers are kept in a "fail secure" mode. This means that the drawers are securely locked down during the power failure. Also, there is no need for battery backup.
