At Rolland Safe & Lock Company, we take our position as an industry leader very seriously. And we believe that position requires us to give back to the community around us, both through education and through charitable donations. We believe strongly in investing in the future of the safe and locksmithing industries, which is why we actively promote ongoing security education. Working with a variety of groups, we support the efforts of others to provide a high level of education in our industry. Among the organizations and institutions we work with are:
Paris Junior College's Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology (TIJT)
Every year, Rolland hosts a group of students and provides an educational presentation which includes information on the types of safes required for the jewelry industry and insurance standards associated with these different levels of safes. The students are given a tour of our facility along with presentation that shows images of the safes' interior walls and the levels of security associated with the construction of different safes.
Dallas Ecological Foundation (DEF)
To help support the Dallas Ecological Foundation in its education of parents and youths on the topics of hunting and gun safety, Rolland has provided presentations to parents and teachers who are responsible for sharing information on the safe storage of guns and ammunition with youths participating in the DEF programs.
Associated Locksmith of America
At least once a year, Rolland plays host to locksmiths from around the country and presents a renowned safe expert who demonstrates how to drill open a locked safes. Following a day of instruction and presentations, Rolland supplies a variety of locked safes for the safe technicians to practice their new techniques on and learn how to actually drill open the safes. This fun, two-day event is also extremely educational and helpful for all participants.
